During the latest 20 years, it is happening almost every academic season. Universities, Technical Institutes and High Schools are staying closed for a long period of time.
Part of the students doesn't want the government to put into effect some reformation meters. They organize a general assembly where they decide to take control of the school, and the lessons stop.
Although it is the majority that makes the decision, it is well known to everyone, that in many cases, especially at the Universities, a lot of the students stay away from these assemblies, due to their preceding disappointment.
As a result, the level of education in Greece lowers, the studying time exceeds the limit while student's families have to spend more money for their accommodation.
So if we really care about our future, we have to do something about our education system.
